Hello Friend,
I hope today finds you smiling, and if not, I’ll send some happy Irish rain to make your flowers grow (if a bottle of “the black stuff” – Guinness – would be more to the point, I’m sure we can arrange that as well. I’m here on the Green Isle for two and a half months, interning with a publishing company in Dublin, straying through the streets, traveling the rest of the country when I can, writing about these things I see and hear and smell and think. And just so you know this person filtering you’re Ireland experience:
Anne (Annie, nickname caused by a misprint on a preschool roster) Sand (like the beach, a German name, derivative of Sanders, which means follower of Alexander, or so I’m told). Raised in a small Ohio town for twenty-one years, and now an English major in beginning her fourth year of college. Raised Catholic, if that’s important, though I tend to disagree with most of the details it teaches. I also tend to go to Mass every Sunday. I can’t seem to do otherwise. I love to write, sing, paint, dance, go for walks. I have a mother (Nancy), father (Jim/James), sister (Sara/Kat) and dog (Pippin/Fuzzy one/Little boy).
Read, enjoy, ignore, return. This can be our pint together.
Many Smiles,
Annie
